As society becomes more digitally connected, hobbies previously seen as nerdy become increasingly mainstream. One such hobby is fantasy tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons, in which players role-play their characters and battle various creatures.

Play’n GO is happy to get in on the action with Loot & Labyrinths. Players can trigger features that combine D&D mechanics and standard bonuses every round. You can also unlock different dice by progressing through the player levels.

Gather Your Party

The game has a charming backdrop showing a table full of dice, play figures, cards and character sheets. It does a great job of capturing the creative chaos of an in-person Dungeons and Dragons session.

Symbol designs consist of drawn monsters and the players themselves. During certain features, the players are transformed into adventurers while the monsters go from drawings to 3D models. It’s a cool addition that adds more visual diversity to the game.

The Adventure Begins

Three Scatters on reels two, three, and four award 10 free spins. Before the feature begins, you’re given three random buffs from the following pool:

  • Golden Artifact turns a random adventurer into a Wild
  • Lady Death removes the least valuable Monster symbol from the reels
  • Forgotten Temple adds 5 free spins
  • Abandoned Altar adds 3 free spins

You can level up during free spins by doing 5 damage to the dragon. Each time you do this, your multiplier level increases. It starts at 2x and can climb up to 100x. Each level-up grants one more buff, which can include buffs you have already received.

You can get the Random Encounter symbol on reel 1, which activates the same-named feature. The game checks the symbols in the same row as the Random Encounter to determine which bonus gets played. Tavern Night fires if all adventurers are on the same row, while Treasure Lair fires if it’s all monsters. A mix of monsters and adventurers triggers the Monsters Attack encounter.

All three encounters are progressed by rolling a 20-sided die. To win, your score must be higher than the difficulty of the roll. The difficulty is determined by adding up the strength of all monster types. Each adventurer on the board increases your dice total, allowing it to go over 20. This lets you unlock the next multiplier level, which can go up to 5x.
